What's a domain pointer?

Hi there,

Thankyou for your interest in our services.

A domain pointer allows you to "point" additional domain names to sub-directories of your main account. If your main domain name was mydomain.com and you setup a domain pointer for mypointer.com, you could access the mypointer.com website by going to either http://mypointer.com or http://mydomain.com/mypointer. Domain pointers can de added or removed through your account control panel.

If you have any more questions then let us know :)

Warm regards,

Craig

Ah okay. I was hoping it meant I could host lots of domains on one account.

Can you tell me which packages let me different individual domains, e.g. www.domain1.co.uk, www.domain2.co.uk, all to their own website (no /domain1, /domain2)?

Thanks

Hello,

http://www.flump.net/hosting_promotions.php

If you take a look on their promotions page (above link) you will see a package called 'Multi-domain 15'

This will allow you to "add on" 15 domains on to one account, all with their own e-mail, ftp and web-space access.
Your visitors won't even know it is an add-on domain!

http://www.countrycaller.co.uk/ - this is an add-on domain, as you can see you can't tell!

Hope that helps!

Those are what we call "Addon Domains" and thats exactly what they are designed to do.

They are the same as the Domain pointers, so can be used with by parking them ontop of an existing domain, or for running a seperate site. Such as how you are looking to do.

Which package are you looking at and what are your requirements? I would then be best able to advise you on which route/package to take.

If you have any questions then please let us know,

I have one domain hosted with you, and want to move two others to you.

I'd like to do this at the start of the month. I'd like to be safe with 50mb of space, but I don't think I'll use that much. I can't see myself using much bandwidth either.

Then again - I might! So an upgrade possibility would be good :)
