Hi,

Thinking of moving my reseller account to Flump. We are UK based as are most of our clients and we need a reliable fast service from here in the UK.

Do Flump fit the bill?

Hello Graham, thank you for your interest in flump.net!

I have been with flump.net for nearly 1 year now and have been an extremely satisfied customer. So much so, as to recommend at least 10 friends/clients to flump for hosting. They have done so and are extremely happy.

The guys at flump.net are very kind and easy to communicate with. They are normally thee all hours of the day too to answer email. I know I have sent an email at 2am in the morning sometimes, and Craig has responded in less than 5 minutes. The services they offer are brilliant and what I can say is value for money. It's hard to find hosters with good customer services/support skills...but these guys are proof that an excellent hosting company also looks after it's customers.

I used to use a free hosting site which used to cause me no end of problem, then I converted to flump.net and I don't think i have experienced ANY downtime in the year that i have been with them. I believe garauntee a 99% uptime hosting - well you can safely say they keep their word.

The flump forums is an excellent place to get help with your site development or any other queries you have. They also have a fun section on the site where we can all just chill out and have some fun.

My friends/clients are very happy with flump.net and can't believe the outstanding service they have. So I know I can carry on giving the same recommendation in the future.

I think it may be worth having a look at the demo control panel via the website and you'll see how easy flump is to use.

I hope I'll see you as a fellow flumpinian soon in the forums :)

Regards

Colin

Personally I would say yes.

I should probably stress before I start that all opinions are my own rather than that of the company I work for, but hopefully I'll give you an honest insight into our experiences to let you decide if Flump is best for you...

I work for The Dedicated Partnership, a web design/internet promotion company up in (occasionally) sunny Cumbria. Between Paul & myself, ie: the boss and the employee who seems to have been there forever, we've been in this business for quite some time.

As a result of our time in web design, we've seen *a lot* of good & bad hosting companies either from working directly with them or via web site clients so I'd guess you could say we know when we've got something good.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, about 2 years ago we discovered Flump and so decided to try them out with a few web sites including what was then a small startup search engine called AardvarkTravel.net - now our biggest site especially in terms of visitors.

During this time we've experienced some major problems with the other hosting company we use (who are a very large hosting company), but I can only think of 3 occasions when I've noticed anything up with Flump and only 1 of those lasted for more than 20 mins...

With each occasion we got a very prompt reply from one of the Flump staff to say they were aware of the problem, what was wrong, what was being done and a realistic ETA for fixing it. Very useful when clients start asking what happened to their web site....also makes us look professional.

Other things I would recommend Flump for:

- Cpanel: Nice & easy to configure all sorts of things on your account
- Helpdesk: Replies within 10 minutes are very common
- Reliability: See above
- Friendly Staff: Trust me, I test them sometimes! :)

If you want a company that sees you as more than just another £ sign, I would come over here and try them out - I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Thanks for all your comments, its always hard to move 'supplier' especially when you have other companies relying on you to provide a good service.

Comments from other users are always useful. I wish trevHCS had not put his portfolio link on his reply though, we have just wasted a couple of hours looking at pictures of his wonderful part of the world!

Especially when they ring up saying something or other isn't working....here you know it'll either be fixed or more likely its a config issue at their end.

And if they don't fix it, I'll send you the directors home addresses!

well, I managed to suspend my main reseller account  but in my defence, I had only had the account about a day and was trying out the various options on the whm.

Oh, and I can confirm that it does rain alot, although it's not looking too bad this morning!

I have to agree with everyone, I've been with flump for over 2 years (I was one of their first clients) and I haven't looked back since...I used to use a fee web host for a while, but there really is a big difference which I found almost instantly when you pay for stuff hehe.

OK, I signed up....

I talked to Flumpman (the guy on the end of the phone, sorry names are not my good point, [not sure I have any good points!]) and liked what I heard, even though it was in some foreign northern speak :-).

I pestered support with email and got quick responce, thanks Flumpmen for that and thanks for all comments from the Flumpetters, I'm looking forward to a long stay.

Hi Graham,

You will be very hard pushed to find a host that is cheap, reliable and has prompt/friendly staff working for them.

Come join us, you know it makes sense.
