Damn right they have.
They been over here for a roadshow. I missed the talk they did, where supposedly they showed off their new TabletPc product, as well as talk more about the .NET, Visual Basics, ASP and so forth, all because I had a Computer Science W/Discrete Maths Lecture then (damn it). However, I'm sure it involved great information and mass amounts of brainwashing.
Anyway, they had their little camper van style roadshow display outside, which was a god-send because I just wanted to get out of the rain (when it rain, damn hell it pours here). They told me a bit about their Visual Basics and ASP stuff, as well as something called Microsoft .NET ASP Web Matrix, which I'm sure they were persuading me to download (and interrupt the downloads of Samurai Pizza Cats episodes which you can't see or buy anywhere now! NEVER!!!!).
In the end, I was told some confusing stuff, got the Microsoft .NET Framework Academic Resources Kit CD (*phew* What a mouthfull), a Microsoft Poster ( oO;;;; ) and a Microsoft .NET Crash Course V2 DVD for Faculty and PhDs.
So what have I learnt today from Microsoft? Sod all really, except I'm going to try and compile the code on this CD box in an attempt to win ticket to V2003.
