Hey guys, i'm the web developer here at Merito, the new design is almost ready and i wanted some feedback before it went live.

The url for the test site atm, is: www.merito.co.uk/v2/ the support link doesnt work atm, but once the new site goes live it will point to the right place.



Any suggestions/comments are very welcome.

I like the style generally, but I have a couple of comments:


The large amount of white space at the top gives the impression that there should be a banner there, although there isn't. Maybe that wants reducing to about half its current size?

I find the mid-blue text on the white background (used for most of the info) looks a bit vague on my laptop display, particularly since it is also fairly small. The darker blue for the links is clearer. I don't know if you can do anything here as it's the colour scheme for the whole site.

The "Network" link doesn't work and the link to "rangimaire.com" goes to a directory listing.

Hey, and thanks, first of all, the white space at the top, was due to centering the whole thing, so its smack in the center .. but i see what you mean, the text color, can easily be changed, as its all done using css, i'll have to look into this as your not the first person to mention it, the "Network" page isnt done yet, and as for the "rangimaire.com" its a customers site, and well, i dont have control over what they do, that part of the page is random customer sites and quotes.

I concur with Paul, the colours are slightly too washed out. I'd also suggest a few more graphical elements - it's very textual at the moment.

On a non-design related issue, I assume your postal address will be added later? You need it to keep on the good side of the law ;)

I'm talking with the owner about the colours, and as for the postal information, I didnt realise that was a necessity but if it is, then i'll add that too.
